Hey there, I’m Scot.

I discovered my creative passion from an early age, working with my Grandfather in his print shop in a small town in Oklahoma. Memories of the classical station playing on his antique radio, the smell of solvent and ink in the air, and the rumble of the printing press still make me feel as if I were there today. He taught me everything I needed to know about the printing industry, even before I knew where my career would take me.

My career began as a graphic designer working in the greeting card and gift industry where I soaked up every ounce of knowledge I could gather. I traveled overseas for development trips, learned new techniques, substrates and what it truly meant to create a product that is not only impactful, but will move millions of units. I even won three Louie Awards for my design and art direction of greeting cards!

I have always been involved in every aspect of the product lifecycle, including the design, marketing and sales. After many years in the industry I decided to bolster my education and obtained my Masters in Marketing. It was a wild journey that provided new and meaningful insights not only in my career but my personal life as well.

I love creating products that bring purpose and joy to the end consumer. I’m curious by nature - I love watching and understanding how something is made, developing trends and tracking the evolution of colors, textures and patterns.

I’m a firm believer that effective leadership of a Creative team is successfully driven by listening, empathy and transparent communication. It really is that simple in theory but requires consistency and vulnerability.

I never anticipated where this journey would take me: Graphic Designer, Art Director, Director of Creative and Marketing, and now working as a consultant in the industry I love.

I hope I’ve made my Grandfather proud.
